Mission
Data Management is the development and execution of principles, architectures, policies, practices and procedures that ensure broad appropriate availability, confidentiality, and integrity of Indiana University's information asset.
While several university offices and groups are heavily engaged in this activity - units of Information and Infrastructure Assurance, University Counsel, Internal Audit, appointed Data Stewards, functional office Data Managers, etc. -- appropriate and responsible data management extends beyond these areas to each person who comes in contact with and uses university data.
